Recommended as an adjuvant for people with reduced immunity and for recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. In addition, inosine suppresses the reproduction of herpes group viruses, which are pathogenic to humans and cause herpes on the lips and facial skin.

Indications: infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by herpes simplex virus type I (labial herpes) or type II (genital herpes), chickenpox and herpes zoster; other infections caused by viruses (for example, subacute sclerosing encephalitis, a complication of measles); as an aid to people with reduced immunity, with recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.

Dosage
Adults, including older people (over 65 years): 50 mg per kg body weight per day (usually 1 g, i.e. 1 tablet 3 times a day). Do not take more than 4 tablets per day.
Children over 1 year of age: 50 mg per kg of body weight per day, in several doses. For children who cannot swallow tablets, it is recommended to give Neosin forte in syrup.
Treatment usually lasts from 5 to 14 days. It is recommended to continue taking the drug for 1 to 2 days after the symptoms of the disease disappear. In children and adolescents with reduced immunity: the drug should be used 10 days a month for the next 3 months.
